 Dear Wildcat Families:

 Several schools around the state continue to see a decline in student enrollment; unfortunately, TRCS continues to be impacted as well. This decline in enrollment leads to a corresponding decline in state and federal funding.  Due to this, and the need for fiscal responsibility, our District has made a difficult decision to restructure our Pre K-5th grade placements.  This restructure includes the transitioning of Young Five (Y5) students and Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) students to Norton Elementary.  Norton will also have one section of Kindergarten-3rd grade; 4th and 5th grade will transition to Park Elementary.  Families who have student(s) who are currently enrolled in 3rd and 4th grade at Norton Elementary, you will receive further information in the near future.     

We want to assure you that we will continue to closely monitor this situation and are prepared to make necessary adjustments to ensure that every child receives the high-quality education they deserve no matter which building they are attending, while ensuring financial stability for the District.

Estimadas familias de Wildcat:

Varias escuelas del estado continúan experimentando una disminución en la matrícula estudiantil; lamentablemente, TRCS también se sigue viendo afectada. Esta disminución en la matrícula conlleva una disminución correspondiente en la financiación estatal y federal. Debido a esto, y a la necesidad de responsabilidad fiscal, nuestro Distrito ha tomado la difícil decisión de reestructurar las asignaciones de preescolar a quinto grado. Esta reestructuración incluye la transición de los estudiantes de Young Five (Y5) y del Great Start Reading Program (GSRP) a Norton Elementary. Norton también tendrá una sección de kínder a tercer grado; los estudiantes de cuarto y quinto grado se transferirán a Park Elementary. Las familias con estudiantes matriculados actualmente en tercer y cuarto grado en Norton Elementary recibirán más información próximamente.

Queremos asegurarle que continuaremos monitoreando de cerca esta situación y estamos preparados para hacer los ajustes necesarios para garantizar que cada niño reciba la educación de alta calidad que merece sin importar a qué edificio asista, al mismo tiempo que garantizamos la estabilidad financiera del Distrito.
